New Moon Ritual
Libra New Moon
A ritual for balance, beauty, and beginning again.
The Libra New Moon is an invitation.
Libra season asks us to restore balance — within ourselves, in our relationships, and in the spaces we inhabit. The new moon amplifies that invitation, offering a quiet threshold to set intentions rooted in harmony, beauty, and reciprocity.
This six-page ritual guide walks you through a complete new moon practice: from preparing your space to closing the ritual with intention. Take what resonates. Leave what doesn't. This is yours.
The Practice
Six Steps for the New Moon
Prepare Your Space
Clear a small area — a windowsill, a corner of your desk, a spot on the floor. Light a candle if you have one. Bring in something beautiful: a flower, a stone, a piece of fabric you love. You are making a small altar for this moment.
Ground Yourself
Sit comfortably and take three slow breaths. With each exhale, let the day fall away. You don't need to arrive perfectly calm — you only need to arrive. Notice where you are. Notice that you are here.
Reflect on Balance
Libra asks: where have I been giving too much? Where have I been withholding? Sit with these questions without rushing to answer them. Let what wants to surface, surface.
Set Your Intention
Write one intention — not a goal, not a task, but a quality you want to cultivate. Harmony. Ease. Reciprocity. Beauty. Write it as if it is already true: "I am returning to balance." "I am choosing beauty in small things."
Journal Prompts
Use the prompts in the full guide to go deeper. What does balance feel like in your body? What relationship in your life is asking for more care? What would you do differently if you trusted that you deserved beauty?
Close the Ritual
Place your hands over your heart. Read your intention aloud once. Blow out the candle — or let it burn. The ritual is complete. Carry the intention with you into the next lunar cycle.
